28. Mai: Everything Everywhere All at Once (OmdU)

Evelyn Quan Wang is a Chinese American immigrant who owns a laundromat together with her husband Waymond. Evelyn is under a lot of tension because the laundromat is being audited by the IRS, Waymond is trying to ask her to sign the divorce papers, her judgmental father, Gong Gong, has just arrived from Hong Kong and Joy, her daughter, is trying to get her to accept her girlfriend Becky.

During an unpleasant appointment with her IRS auditor Deirdre, an impersonal bureaucrat, Evelyn struggles to stay focused, because the principle of a multiverse rift was explained to her right before the meeting. When Deirdre began to lose patience, Evelyn was unable to prevent her first unexplained multiverse rift at the most inopportune moment. This became an eye-opening but strange experience of parallel realities.

As Evelyn sees how her life could be if she had chosen differently in the past, she questions her life choices, however she should not get lost in these thoughts because the inevitable is about to happen.
