It has been a long time since Sonny Hayes drove a Formula 1 car. A serious accident brought his promising career to an abrupt end. However, his passion for motorsport never left him – over the years, he competed in various racing series and most recently even led his team to victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona. At the victory celebration, he meets his former Formula 1 colleague Ruben Cervantes, who asks him for support: Ruben's team APXGP is in crisis, the season is halfway over, and the regular driver has quit. As an experienced driver, Hayes is asked to step in – alongside the young talent Joshua Pearce. At first, Sonny firmly refuses. Yet, the prospect of becoming one with the track and the powerful car again, even just once, won't leave him alone. A test drive brings the decision: Hayes proves that he still has what it takes and secures his place in the team despite totaling the car. This reshuffles the cards for the rest of the season and everything seems possible. The team must learn to forget old wounds, build trust, and bring the best cars to the top – against all odds.
